Thank you for choosing The Hydeaway. Please take a moment to read through our Terms & Conditions before confirming your booking. By placing a booking, you agree to the following terms:
Bookings & Payments
A deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due 28 days before your arrival. You can also opt to pay the full amount at the time of your booking, or at any point before the due date.
If your booking is made within 28 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
We confirm all bookings by email when we have received your booking. A confirmation invoice will set out dates of booking, items booked and total amount payable. You should notify us of any issues with the information as soon as possible.
Bookings can be made online using most major debit or credit cards.
The lead guest must be over 18 years of age. At least one guest aged 18+ must be present per booking.
Minimum stay requirements may apply, particularly during school holidays and bank holiday weekends.
Bookings must not be for more than 14 consecutive nights.
Security Deposit
A pre-authorised security deposit of £100 may be held against your card from your check- in date to cover any damage or additional cleaning. This is not charged unless necessary and is released within 48 hours of your departure, subject to satisfactory inspection.
Cancellations
If you cancel between 28 and 14 Days of your arrival date, you will receive a refund of any monies paid, minus the 30% deposit
If you cancel with 14 days’ or less notice, no monies will be refunded. However, we may be able to reschedule your stay within 12 months, subject to availability.
If you do not arrive, no refund will be issued.
Failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date may result in cancellation without refund.
If The Hydeaway must cancel your stay, we will offer alternative dates or a full refund.
You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.
Arrival & Departure
Check-in is from 3pm on the day of arrival. There is no reception on site – we will endeavour to be on site to greet you, otherwise please call the number in your booking confirmation for access.
If we are not notified of a late arrival, your booking will be held until 12pm the day after your arrival, after which your booking will be cancelled without a refund.
Check-out is by 10am. Late departures may incur additional charges.
Should you need to arrive or depart outside of these hours, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Guests will receive a welcome email with key information and a digital registration form.
General Site Rules
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
- No large groups (over 8 people), hen or stag parties.
- No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
- No generators are permitted on site.
- No smoking or cooking in tents.
- No bonfires are permitted on site. Firepits, gas stoves and disposable BBQ’s to be used in designated outside areas only.
- Only wood sold by The Hydeaway is to be used in firepits. You are not permitted to use your own wood or collect from the forest. In extremely hot weather, fire pits may not be permitted due to the risk of spread of fire.
- Only knives up to a blade length of 3 inches are allowed into the campsite for use in cooking.
- Please dispose of your rubbish/recycling in the bins provided and any cigarettes or smoking material in designated area.
- As our site is located in a rural environment, we do not accept responsibility for any damage, injury or inconvenience caused by the weather, plants, trees, insects, animals or wildlife.
- The Hydeaway accepts no responsibility whatsoever for damage, loss or theft of items belonging to guests during their stay, including vehicles parked on the site. Guests are entirely responsible for their own property and the behaviour of their party at all times.
Conduct & Consideration
- If you want to party, this is not a suitable campsite for you!
- We do not allow any loud noises, partying or any other celebrations which could disturb other campers. No loud music or similar disturbances, singing or shouting, loud motor vehicles or car door slamming are permitted at any time
- Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am; guests are asked to please respect this period.
- Parents must supervise children at all times. Please do not allow your children to run between tents in the evening or disturb other sleeping guests.
- No drones, fireworks, sky lanterns or kites are allowed to be used at The Hydeaway for safety reasons.
- Please respect the local wildlife at all times.
Dogs
- One well behaved small/medium sized dog is permitted per pitch.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and owners are to clean up after them.
- Dogs must not be left unattended at any time on the site.
Please note:
Guests are advised to bring a high-quality torch, as the site is illuminated solely by low-level solar lighting.
Bedding is provided, but guests should bring their own towels.
Facilities including toilets and showers are unisex.
There is no mains electricity on site. Power banks can be hired to charge phones or small devices.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
Accommodation Types
Bell Tent Glamping
Each tent is equipped with real beds, mattresses, bedding, mats, lights and soft furnishings. Decor varies by theme: Woodland, Meadow, Sunset, or Seaside.
Sunset sleeps 3 (4m), others sleep 4 (5m). Do not exceed maximum occupancy.
Guests are responsible for leaving the tent in a clean and tidy condition. Charges may apply for damage or excess mess.
Tent Pitches
Bring your own tent (max 4.5m x 4.5m, subject to confirmation). Up to four guests per pitch.
Hire kits available on request: small firepit, gas stove, cooking and dining equipment.
Park vehicles in the designated area, approximately 20m from the pitches.
Campervan Pitches
Two campervan/touring pitches available. Maximum four people per pitch.
No electrical hookup is available. Power banks for charging are available for hire.
Only vans that are self-contained in terms of sleeping accommodation may be used.
While staying at The Hydeaway, we may take promotional photos for our website and social media. Guest names are never used. If you prefer not to appear in these materials, please inform us.
Complaints & Feedback
If you experience any issues during your stay, please contact us immediately so we can address them. We welcome feedback and are always striving to improve the guest experience.
