For those who love the simple pleasure of pitching their own tent and waking to birdsong and valley views, our three boutique tent pitches offer a back-to-nature escape with a touch of style.
Each pitch is thoughtfully positioned to overlook the rolling greenery of our peaceful site, framed by hedgerows and scattered trees that invite wildlife to pass through.

Tent Pitches
With space for one tent per pitch (maximum size 4.5m x 4.5m – subject to confirmation), each spot accommodates up to four people. Whether you’re a seasoned camper or trying it for the first time, The Hydeaway provides a gentle, welcoming setting to unwind under canvas.
Bring your own tent, bedding, and camping gear—or, if you’d rather travel light, we offer hire kits that include a small firepit with starter pack, a gas camping stove, and all the basic cooking and dining essentials. Just let us know when booking.
While the site is off-grid and beautifully low-impact, you’ll still find comfort in our eco-conscious facilities: compost toilets, a solar-powered hot shower, handwashing station, drinking water tap, and undercover bike storage. Power banks are available to hire if you need to charge a phone or small device, and free Wi-Fi is available (though the signal may be patchy—just another excuse to disconnect for a while).
Please note:
- Instant BBQ’s, firepits, gas stoves, etc. to be used in designated areas only. Bonfires are not permitted on site.
- Cars cannot be parked alongside tents, but designated parking is only 20m away.
- There is no electric on site. Power banks are available for hire to charge phones and small devices.
- SORRY - No trailer tents due to limited space.

- Two Compost Toilets: Thoughtfully maintained and designed to minimise ecological impact, the compost toilets are clean, odour-free, and user-friendly.
- Chemical Toilet Disposal Point: A convenient facility for campervan users to responsibly manage waste.
- Hot Shower: A solar-powered shower provides a warm and delightful way to refresh after a day of exploring.
- Handwashing Facility: A strategically placed handwashing station with biodegradable soap, helps maintain hygiene in an eco-conscious way.
- Washing Up Facilities: A designated area for washing dishes, equipped with eco-friendly detergents and plenty of running water.
